Kedar Jadhav Announces Retirement from All Forms of Cricket

Kedar Jadhav has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at the age of 39. Jadhav played 73 ODIs and nine T20Is for India after making his international debut in 2014.

Jadhav earned an India call-up for the ODIs against Bangladesh in June 2014 but had to wait until November that year to make his international debut, playing against Sri Lanka in Ranchi. He was then named in the India squad for the two tours to Zimbabwe, in 2015, when he scored an unbeaten century, and then in 2016, when he didn't get an opportunity to bat in the series.

In his international career, Jadhav amassed 1,389 runs in ODIs at an average of 42.09, including two centuries and six half-centuries. He also contributed with the ball, taking 27 wickets in ODIs with his right-arm off-spin. Jadhav was part of the Indian squads that reached the 2017 Champions Trophy final and the 2019 World Cup semi-final.

One of Jadhav's most memorable performances came in the 2017 ODI against England, where he partnered with then-India captain Virat Kohli to put together a 200-run partnership that helped India recover from 63/4 and chase down a target of 351 in Pune.

In the Indian Premier League, Jadhav played 93 matches for five different franchises, scoring 1,196 runs. He was part of the Chennai Super Kings squad that won the IPL title in 2018.

Jadhav announced his retirement in a Dhoni-esque fashion, posting on social media: "Thank you all For your love and support throughout my Career from 1500 hrs. Consider me as retired from all forms of cricket. Kedar jadhav retirement comes just two days after fellow Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik also announced his retirement from the sport.

Jadhav's retirement leaves a significant void in the Indian cricket team, but his legacy will be remembered for his impressive performances, both with the bat and the ball, and his crucial contributions to the national team's success over the years. Read More:- Fantasy Khiladi
