The category for teenage models and for those whose look reads as adolescent. Inside an agency it is a separate board and a separate working order.
The rules that are not up for discussion
Written consent from a parent or guardian for every job. An accompanying adult on set — always, not “where possible”. Limits on the length of the shift and on the time of day. No lingerie work and no nude frames of any kind. Payment into an account a parent can see.
An agency offering to skip any of that is not bending its own procedure, it is breaking the law — and that stands however large the client appears.
What gets shot in this category
Children’s and teenage clothing, school and sports lines, advertising for family products, catalogue. There is a lot of it and it is steady: clothing manufacturers shoot collections every season.
How the work differs
It is shorter and simpler than runway work but demands a routine: a shift has to fit between school and sleep, not the other way round. An agency that regularly books during school hours is one to leave — it is a sign they think of a person as a consumable.
What comes next
Moving from the junior board into the main one is not automatic: measurements, type and the circle of clients all change, and the book has to be built again. The transition is easiest for those who by sixteen have working experience rather than only photographs.

«Casting Red Flags: A Working Safety Checklist» — plus the simplest rule of all: a parent goes to a minor’s casting with them, even when it is inconvenient and “not how it is done”.
