Skill rating

Your skill rating measures how much the community values your work in a given profession. It is the platform's merit signal — earned purely from the likes your work collects, and weighted toward recent appreciation so it reflects where you stand now.

How it is earned

Every like on your photos and videos adds to the skill rating of the professions they belong to. A like from an active member is worth around twenty points; a like from a member with high Influence is worth more. Repeat likes from the same person count for less, to keep it fair. The weight of each like then fades slowly over time — roughly half over two years — so an active member holds a high rating, while someone whose work stops drawing likes gradually slips down.

How it works

Your skill rating does two things:

• It raises your photo limit — as your rating climbs you can keep more photos: 50, 100, 300, 1,000, up to 3,000.
• It lifts you in the rankings — skill rating powers the “top talents” leaderboards in your profession, and visitors can sort the catalog by rating to find the highest-rated members.

How to raise it

Publish your strongest work, and take part in the community — like, comment on and follow other members so more people discover and like yours. Engagement comes back to you, and your rating grows with it.
